I use it for the novelty factor.
Oh yeah, they get used every time someone presses it by mistake, by leaning on the centre console.

The button is in a stupid place.
It would be much better if they were disabled unless the headlights were on, that would help, but then I am not a fan of the fact that the headlights can be on when the ignition is off.

The odd thing about them is, from the guys I have chatted to in the US boards, they are really jealous of us having them.

I guess everybody wants what they cannot have.
Do they not get the Xenon lamps in the US either then?
In Europe you have to have washers fitted if you have Xenon lamps, not sure why though.

MakS there is a guide to disabling the washers in MY99-01 cars in the tech faq. Takes 1 minute to remove the fuse, I've never missed having mine enabled

Even though I don't use them too much, I like having them there.

They are useful at traffic lights when those pesky windscreen cleaners try it after you have told them to leave it. One squirt and they tend to leave you alone.

I use them once in a blue moon, like Kelk, and also if the bonnet needs a quick wipe down if it is dusty

I thought they were really ugly as well in the S2, on the S3 they are flush and hidden. When my car was in for its recent

I know it sounds daft, but I use them in the summer if I get too hot.
