Tubular subframes, wishbones and dipping the car are merely an extensions of the car's original form. The subframe at the rear begins life in a tubular fashion. The front is slightly different.
This is purely stripping things back as simple as can be - great strategy.

I love this build,but can I ask what the holes are there for? I see them on race cars all the time but never asked why they are there?

Correct but by doing this rather than chopping it all out it adds strength to the area too.

My thought too. 'Retains more strength than chopping' would be more accurate.

If you look closely the holes aren't just holes, I can't remember the name of the tool used but if you look at the edge of the holes the metal has been pressed inwards to give it a kind of lip and lips add rigidity

Dimple die sets I think they're called, not 100%

That's just to make up for the loss of strength due to the hole, not to make it stronger than not having a hole at all.

Like said above it'll retain the strenght and add lightness
