Default Hello

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself in the UK section.

I'm Matt, 24 from Newbury. Just got my s2k yesterday, A moonrock '04 car with red/black interior. Absolutly love it, that 'new car' excitment, been staring at it and sitting in it keeping it company.

Tonnes of usefull info on this site, hopefully I won't need it too much.

Welcome... and thank the gods that someone actually bought the best and fastest colour combo!!!

Right...first things first... get the airbox lid off... ( 6 clips ) and then floor it... Enjoy the orchestra!

Cheers fella's. Rew, your sig makes me sad.

Unfortunatly for me, my s2k is going to have to sit in the garage for a few weeks untill my 25th birthday. I'm not sure exactly what it is insurance companies think happens on your 25th birthday, maybe a beam of light shines from the sky, the hand of god comes down and grants you a new level of driving ability.

Whatever happens, I'm not insured until then, borrowing a Celica in the mean time.

Well.. I suppose it gives you lots of practise at washing and waxing it..

Keep the car turned over.... The battery goes flat if left for a few weeks. ( IIRC )

Oh... and read the FAQ's... should keep you entertained.

and welcome.
I suggest that if you haven't owned a RWD before to drive it carefully and enjoy. Be very careful of damp/icy conditions on junctions and r/abouts.

When you say you've been sitting in the car keeping it company This isn't you is it??

Welcome and congrats.

Only had mine a few weeks - same colour combo!

I was going to buy one 12 months ago and had tat same BS from the insurance companies. Finally turned 25 in October and started searching.

Be careful though, just take i easy in these crap conditions were having - can't wait until the summer finally kicks in!

Have you got any quotes yet?

Mark
