Default Help for Adjustable Toe Arm Fitting

I went to fit my adjustable toe arms today, all was going well I removed one bolt with a bit of brute strength (the one closest to the brakes) then the other nut undid nicely but the bolt wouldnt come out.
I sprayed a bit of WD40 and it looked like it may need a bit of a bosh with a hammer to pop out, FAIL.
Im guessing it is seized and will need cutting off?
Cutting it off wouldnt bother me in the slightest as the adjustable toe arms are going on with new bolts.
Just need re assurance really before I get the angle grinder out.

It is the bit furthest away from the brake.
What is a ball joint seperator?

Are you sure you want to do this?

FWIW, the easiest way to remove the ball joint (the bolt with a castle nut, nearest the brakes) is to pull down on the arm, and whack the knuckle with a hammer.

A ball joint separator is designed to 'split' a ball joint, as they are held firmly in place on the knuckle (what the hub is attached to). A quick look on Google images should show you what one looks like. I don't like them as they usually feck the gaiter (black rubbery bit )

For the bolt that towards the middle of the car, try plenty of plusgas over the next few days before attempting again.

Remove the nut, refit it a few turns, so that the thread is protected. Try to turn the head of the bolt with a spanner or socket, whilst hitting the nut end with a hammer.

Otherwise, you'll have to try some heat (acetylene) or cut it out.

I found that an air powered sabre saw worked extremely well, as it is able to operate in small areas, you may not be able to get an angle grinder in there without chaffing the subframe

The smaller the saw, the better, as space can get a bit tight

Keep on using plusgas...it really does work over a few days

That ll be great- if you have a compressor of course!

I used a combo of anglegrinder and an electric sabre saw on my suspension job. the cutting out of bolts is a nightmare!
