Default Help with alarm and central locking

I recently purchased a S2000 and been loving it so far, cant wait to get the roof off!

Anyway, there is a Honda factory alarm on the car and for some reason when I try to lock the car using the alarm fob it doesnt lock the car anymore. It still sets the alram so I now have to lock both doors using the key! Gets slightly annoying after a while!! I can still unlock the car using the alram fob though.

I took the car to Sextons to see if they could fix it and after an hour of messing around with it they had no idea and suggested taking it to Honda. They did mention something about the relay not switching over and sending the incorrect signals to lock the car?!

Anyone have any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Jamil

My fob works with the alarm all of the time and always locks the drivers door, however it will not lock or unlock the passenger side door. Honda report it needs an Actuator, not sure on costs yet as waiting for the original dealer to agree payment.

The early Honda alarms are dealer fitted Hamilton Palmer units - and are regarded as a POS.

When it fails, remove and replace with something decent has been the advice of the past.
