Default HELP! HU - CD changer compatability issue

Guys need some help, or to be more precise Dreamer needs some help.

She is getting a cd changer for her HU fitted today right now by a member on the board and they cannot get power from the HU to the CD changer.

I can't be too precise as I'm not there. Can anyone help please?

If so put your name here etc and I'll PM you back and if you could speak to Jo, which I'll sort oout, that'd be awesome.

Thanks in advance

power should come within the CD changer lead if not you will need to run a live feed off the headunit to the cd player but i do not see how its possible as its a sealed unit.

Apparently it's the HU that doesn't have power anymore

if the head unit no longer has power that seems odd if its always worked, my well have blown a fuse if it has a inline fuse block on the lead, if no live could take one from the ignition switch i guess, but i would want to know why the head unit has lost power first.
