I know you people are up to speed on lots of topics not only s2000's, my friend always raves about the sound my s2000 makes as i have a k&n filter and with the air box cover off the noise is amazing... he has an 06 Lotus Elise 111, its his birthday very soon and i would love to get him an air filter that would make the same sound!

2. where do i get the filter from?

any help would be VERY appreciated.

 

Look on the K&N website, also the Elise owners board. Im not sure how good an open induction kit would be in the hot engine bay of an Elise though!

I was under the impression that simply swapping the OEM air filter for a K&N filter makes sod all difference to the noise produced. It certainly never seemed to one I had one before swapping to a PRM intake

The only reason for swapping to a K&N was that it was cleanable and therefore didn't need a new air filter with each service.
