Very very common. Its a Honda trait. Honda replace the wheels under warranty without question.

I think corrosion on the pre 2002 model alloys was an issue

I'd say go for it. I got a very low mileage my99 after convincing myself I wanted a post 2002 - and to be totally honest I love the handling, it just takes a little getting used to. But then 'wow' its all just fun and scaring friends.

I had come from a chipped MK4 GTI Golf so the change in driving styles was a shock for me - but now I never want a FWD car again..

Its nice to speak to some guys that know what there on about. Your tempting me to one already, any ideas what the insurance would be like for me, a 23year old with 2years ncb

The one i looked at isn't the one i'd have, but it was an X reg (2000) and had corrosion on the wheels. Is that something that would still be covered on warrenty?

It would be covered by the 3 year manufacturers warranty - but not an extended / dealers warranty. An X reg should still have a few months warranty left.

There have been various threads about insurance, and it's worth searching & having a read. It wouldn't suprise me to find that you'll get quotes in excess of 1500 pa - depends on location, mileage etc. Try directline for an on-line quote - I'm with them.

NoEscape,

You really have to shop around for quotes, and I really mean shop around. Try at least 10 different companies.

I recently (ie 3 days ago) started my insurance, and I'm paying
