Cheers for even more tips, my head is in a complete spin, but my whole aim this weekend is to go look at some and see what they are like. I suppose the proof is in the pudding, having a go and see what i think.
I've used a westie, but not that often tbh, so it will be a slight change, especially when the S will be for road use and the odd occasion on the track, everyone knows how bad our roads are these days!
Will make the point to the dealer of them warrenty issues being sorted, thanks

Another quick question seeing as your all so willing to help out

Can the S be used as a daily car? Granted i won't really need to, i could get my lazy ass up and walk to work, but i will need to use it during the winter months too. Its not like a Elise which can be used but really doesn't want to hehe

Just bear in mind that if you're really THAT close to work, the engine won't be anywhere near warmed up by the time you get there.

As the advert says, most engine wear occurs during the first ten minutes while the oil is still warming up.

Lots of short journeys like that are not good for any engine.

Suggest you save the mileage on the S and get yourself a nice mountain bike

Yeah, my journey to work only takes about 8 mins so i'd be better walking, or even cycling, just not sure how many times i could resist getting into the S, especially on a hot sunny day!

I'm sure red is faster, as are 'on a mission' stickers but i'll be having neither

NoE - let us know what quotes you get for what, people can compare with you and you might find it some help. Be sure to include Tesco on your list

I was in the same boat about buying an S at 1st but it's the best car I have ever owned (and I've had a few) I will use it for everyday transport and for business as well as fun at the weekends. - Not as quick as a bike but more comfy in the winter.

Also came up the M1 today in a torrential downpour with loads of water on the road but kept it steady and not a flicker. It's just a matter of respect, I think and knowing when to turn off the madness.
