Default HELP! UFO found in S2000

I was fitting new speakers on the doors and after removing the passenger door panel found the following loose in the bottom of the door. It is about 3.5x8cm.

After significant inspection inside the door with a torch I could not see where it could clip back on.

I thought. Ho Humm. Never mind.

Workshop Manual to the rescue, but it does not seem to be pictured there either.

Brainwave. When I take the drivers side panel off I will look where it is clipped in that side of the car. Problem solved.

Took the drivers door panel off to find ANOTHER one loose in the bottom of that door. Noooooooo.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME, ARE THESE IMPORTANT!!

They kep the window in place, the window runs against the foam.

I don't think they are that important. Re-fit them if you are worried.

Nick.

They're part of the window winding system, they stop the window juddering when moving up and down. There's a thread on it somewhere, the general opinion was that their not being fitted is no biggy, Mine are in the garage and have been for well over a year, and my windows still work just fine.

Does anyone have any pics or diagrams showing where these parts fit?

Johnny,

Look on this part diagram, think its item 24 - the stabilizer

If you have the service manual - also look on Page 20-2 and you will see where it goes.
