Default Honda Courtesy Car...

My local dealer needs the S for 3-4 days to complete a list of minor warranty items. I couldn't face being without the car in the summer months, so have only just got around to booking her in!

Arrive at the dealer for 9am, outside is a rather tasty looking Civic Type R. Excited at the thought of some trendy courtesy transport I drop the keys with the service manager. He proceeds to say "we'll bring the car around the front". The Type R was a little hopeful, but I at least expected a Honda, but no that is the service manager walking toward me with the keys to a pale blue Nissan Micra!

I would have been more than happy with a groovy little Jazz, but a Nissan Micra, please! Whats that all about then? Anyway what is it they say in the advert "simpology", simple technology or whatever! It's bonkers, you don't need a key to start it, the trip computer draws wacky mpg graphs and memorises your wedding anniversary, pointless.

It's going to be a long week Have I just recieved the worst courtesy car from Honda or can anyone beat me?

I have had an Accord type S as well as a huge CRV with 60 miles on the clock as courtesy cars.

So I think you may have got the short straw!

At least a service is just for the day! Were talking 4 days here, might have to cancel any dates I had planned for this week. Even a corsa would have been better than this! It's such a feminine car....

I am just so confused, it's a Nissan. I took my car to a Honda garage? It's not like the Nissan comes from a garage with the same franchise name either.

It's a free car, how can you complain about it?

A Vauxhall would have been a much better courtesy car.

Alright, no need to rub it in! I usually get a civic, why why why

I had trouble starting the bloody thing this morning, opened the car and left the remote in my pocket as before. That didn't work so waved the key around a little bit, locked and unlocked the doors etc. None of which seemed to make a blind bit of difference, eventually got it started, but I was just about ready to ring my dealer and have a moan at that point.

Fingers crossed leaving work this evening doesn't present the same problems....
