Quick question...we are thinking about replacing our people wagon and quite like the look of a Honda Stream.

Anyone got one or know anything about them ?

Yeah, Ian has one (a Sport SE?) - I was very impressed with the look of it (for a People Carrier) and they do get rave reviews.

That's what I'm thinking.

Diesel Peugeot 806 out

Honda Stream (tiptronic) sport in

And they're cheap.....only problem is Honda's legendary customer service !

I bought a Stream (i-VTEC 2.0SE Sport manual) to replace our Scenic about 4 months ago.

It is a super car to drive (considering it's size) - the engine is effortless and the power delivery extremely linear. It corners very well indeed. If you where of a mind, I am quite sure it would happily cruise at highly illegal motorway speeds all day long.

The dash mounted gear shift looks odd but is easy to use, with a nice short throw.

In terms of space there is oodles with just the 2 rows of seats (loss of a proper centre seat in the rear is a downside to the Scenic).

The 3rd row of seats unfolds out of the 'boot' floor. They are proper seats with proper seatbelts. The unfold/fold mechanism takes a little getting used too, but is very solid and reassuring in its operation (removal and stowing of the beam holding the boot cover is a pain).

In 7 seater mode front space is fine, the middle seats need to be slid forward to make some room for folks in the back row. Middle leg room is ok, rear room is snug. Luggage space in near non-existent! The kids like the back row as they are a long way from Mum and Dad and they get their own A/C to play with!! (the front of the car has climate control, which is a very nice feature).

The car is very well built, tho' some of the interior plastics scratch easily. The smooth black seat trim material also marks easily.

All in all I am most pleased with the car - it is rarer than the S2000 (takes some doing!!!)

Any q's please ask

Hope this helps

Ian

Ian, thanks a million for this, just what I was hoping someone would say.

Bearing in mind you are in Sussex, where did you get it and who maintains it ?
