Hood Clips
How do you know if your hood clips require replacement?
My car is not too quiet anyway when the roof is up, but then I never expected it to be.
When I close the clips they don't seem particularly tight though. The clip shut very easily. The clips on my M Roadster actually pulled the roof tight to the seal at the top of the windscreen and were quite hard to do up.
I have tried moving the roof when the clips are closed and there is a very slight bit of give between the closed roof and the top of the windscreen. Not enough to see but the roof moves slightly. Is this normal?

I too have this problem.. do you mean the window uprights.. i.e the ones from the dash up to the roof.. As i removed them and the catch is held in place by two normal screws..
And on the catch its self theres no hex bolt to tighten that i can see.
i can easily push a key between the roof and seal with out moving rubber. i.e theres a bit of a gap..
