Hood replacement

Hood replacement
I have a 1999 UK spec car with one cracked rear plastic window
I have been advised that the whole roof needs replacing. Has any owner replaced their 1999 spec roof with the later glass window spec? Were there any problems / modifications required? I don't want to waste money ordering a new roof that isn't going to fit, and my local Honda dealers are unable to confirm compatibility.

Hi, it was while I was trying to have the rear window replaced that the Honda dealer pointed out that the hood probably wasn't in good enough condition to take the new window - hence the need to replace the whole lot, and if I'm going to replace the total roof, I would prefer to get rid of the platic window.
Also, I have tried the search function and it doesn't seem to work for me

I'm quite happy using Honda to replace my roof, but they cannot confirm that the glass window spec hood will fit my S2000 which has the plastic window. I am hoping that someone out there has tried it already (I never like being the pioneer!) and can confirm that the fittings are exactly the same.

Have you tried the breakers ? You may be able to get the roof & frame cheaper than a new roof.
If you install a glass window, you'll have to find / modify the wiring loom in order to get the heated rear screen to work.
You'll also loose some visibile area - the plastic window is larger than the glass window.
Me, I'd take it to one of the after market places to see what they could do.
