Or you could just order the zymol seal treatment ( which i use ) or the zaino equivalent.

www.zymol.co.uk is the url i think.

If you're stuck on silicone grease - scuba divers use it apparently - http://www.divebooty.co.uk/online_specials/595.htm
I've used the Autoglym vinyl and rubber stuff, Zymol Seal - both seem to work.
Tried Vaseline - didn't like the way it smeared to the windows -ham-handed probably

Aaargh - Do NOT use vaseline!!

It's petroleum-based & will fcuk your seals.

Holts & Halfords do spray cans, which are cheap.

Plumbers' Merchants to a Silicone grease too. Ideal for sticky throttle cables, too!

Never done mine... is this why my O/S window leaks when it's lashing it down and I am on the motorway?

OO OO I know this one!!!! (Well, I think I might ).

The seals are terribly clever and use air pressure to inflate themselves whilst driving along. Unfortunately they can get blocked up with gunge or even water. My '01MY suffered from a leak once in really heavy driving rain. When I got home it was dry and I opened the roof to see if I could spot a problem. Water poured out of the seals.

It never leaked again
