Default Hot Boot

Got back from a day in France and found some items in the boot pretty hot. The green beans were toast, the pate bien cuit and some of the wine warm too. Is this normal?? Think the worse bit is in the little depression thing and must be from the rear silencers. Not noticed it before but this is my first motorway flog at high ish speeds. You'd think the air rushing by would cool things down nicely.

Could have been worse!

The way I found out!

Bought some expensive chocolates as a present (two boxes) put one in the tool well and one on the drivers side ledge all nicely protected in bags etc.

Got to where I was going, grand opening of chocolate boxes, huge brownie points expected to find they had ALL melted

They saw the funny side though!

Yes normal, it's the exhaust pipes! Quite amazing how hot it gets in there.

Next time just throw in some chopped garlic and a little light seasoning and hey presto dinner is served.

Welcome to the world of sports cars.

I once transported a polypin cube of Ringwood 49er from the brewery to Hertfordshire in the X-1/9.

The heat from the radiator made it enter tertiary fermentation. Fortunately I stopped to check it, by which time it was in a polypin sphere! Let the CO2 out, carried on.

Cracking pint that. Bit stronger & drier than usual
