Default How long have you left your car and still been able to start it

Just gone to use my 02 after 2 weeks of non use only to find my 12 month old Bosch battery was unable to turn engine over.

Have ordered a battery maintainer but wondered how long others have left their s2000 and still Manged to start wondering if I have a possible large battery drain?

Longer in the summer months, it doesn't like the cold. Trickle charger a must for garage hoggers failing that just keep driving it! But in answer to your question 1-2 weeks in winter.

I think I've made it to 3 weeks before. Does yours have a tracker fitted ? I'm sure they add some extra load to the power drain.

2 months is the longest i've left it for - started without issue although it's garaged these days so a little more insulated from the cold.

Too many variables, age of battery, temperature, humidity, use during the "nice" months number of starts compared to length of journeys etc.

3 weeks in the garage with no charger, started on the button. Battery <2 years old though

I've got a trickle charger (£20 jobby) that keeps it going if I'm not going to use it longer than that.

Mine started perfectly well after 3 weeks, and also has the H&P alarm.

Much depends on battery condition to start with, as well as temperatures.

My alarm has always drained the battery. It's not that old currently, think my first battery lasted till 2008 but i replaced the helfrauds one about 2012/13

I assume its the alarm

Its on a trickle always now
