how many different s2000 engines are there?
Please correct me if i am wrong on any of the following...
so we have the UK spec 2.0ltr 240BHP
Then we have the US spec 2.2 litre but only 200BHP
Then we have the type V seems to be 2.0ltr and again 240BHP?? or is it more?
Then we have the mugen 2.0ltr, unsure of BHP output...
Then theres one in japan with 260/270BHP output?
Is there any others?
Can somebody make definitive list of different engines and a rough spec list? This would be greatly appreciated...

The US 2.2 produces 240 bhp as does the uk 2.0
THe JDM(2.0) may product 250bhp due to higher octane fuel that is available there but the engine is the same.
So, basically 2 engines. a 2.0 and a 2.2.
Obviously there'll be a number of modified ones about incl Mugen, but it'll still be the 2.0 or 2.2 in a different state of tune and intake/outake mods. The type V means it has the funny power steering thingy.
all afaik etc. ususal disclaimers applu.

those are the only 2 engines as standard.
Mugen Engine - no such thing, only an engine with mugen thingies bolted on - still the same engine.
Vtype is simply the steering, nowt to do with the engine

IIRC, there are the two displacements, but THREE head gasket thicknesses:
This allows US, EU and JDM cars to deal with different grades of squirt, hence slight variations in output in each market.
