From the day I bought it to the day I sold it, ever single time I got in it, it was taken to 9krpm. The engine is built to take it (if not the clutch from a standing start) so keep driving it like you're supposed to.

i give it a good 5 mins after i have three bars, before which i dont VTEC, after which i'll gradually build the revs for 2 mins and then i'm happy to rev it as much as i want but if there's no point in VTEC due to conditions, traffic, road conditions etc then i don't. if the weather is good at a weekend i'll probably do 100+ miles of country roads i'd guess 20-30% done in VTEC.
