On summer tyres, on actual snow, nigh on impossible.

I had mine on 2mm of tread in the recent bad weather, on motorways stick to under 60 and you'll be fine, jus be gentle with the throttle and you'll be fine

I got caught on the M74 on 18th Dec. Blizzard conditions and within 10 mins the road was white. My car was twitching all over the place, slowed down to 20mph and was still scary.

If I was you I would postpone picking it up mate. Snow and S dont go

I didn't go far in mine, but I cannot say it was too bad - I think the LSD helps.

I have driven through all the recent snow, and yes it is fun !!!!!!! but like any car if you drive it within its limits you will be fine.
Aberdeen will just take a very very long time thats all .

Don't bother...seriously. You may or may not be a good driver, but you are not familiar with the S. This stands for any new car (unless it really is a complete POS) A few of us who do have lengthy experience (excluding myself) of the S would:

a. Not bother.
b. Drive EXTREMELY carefully, keeping the revs low, and inputs to an absolute minimum.
c. Try, then require a tow when when stuck.

I'd opt for 'a' IIWU You wouldn't want your first experience in an S to be an unpleasant one resulting in damage/injury/death.

Untreated roads with are nigh on impossible to navigate safely with regular tyres on.
