None for me either, partly luck, but mostly due to sticking to 30, 40, and 50 limits

however about 10days ago i was caught by a gatso camera, RAII did not warn me, the camera flashed head on at me, i think i just triggered it off, as they are not suppose to get you head on.

I turned the car around, and headed back the RAII warned me this time... we shall see what the postman brings in the next 2 weeks or so...
RA didn't warn you as you went first as it the camera is for traffic going the other way - hence when you turned round and went back it alerted you.

The exception to that is one that can be turned for either direction adn RA will alert you as it won't know which way it is facing.

Currently 0 points on my licence - somehow

I got no points 'cos they didn't have such things last time I got done.

That was for 80+ m.p.h. on A1 near Stevenage after being followed by an unmarked 2 Seater MG Sports!

Went to Court but got fined

I've got Road Angel 2 and it always warns of fixed cameras, but in North Wales they use mobile sites alot and not all of those are in it's data base, on balance I am glad I bought it. I know of two occasions when I was not paying attention and would have sailed through cameras way over the limit but it warned me in time.

Are those Road Angles worth getting or do anyone recommend something else?
I've got 3 points, but that will be 6 when the authorities return my licence to me after my last run in with and unmarked police car.

I'd say the Road Angel etc(I use the Tom Tom with speed camera locations added) are useful to a degree - say when exploring unfamiliar roads to keep a check on the speed creeping up to 37+ in a 30 zone, in which territory it's easy to get 3 points.

But IMO the only real defence is to be observant and pick your moments for dropping a cog. A flash car like an S2000 will always attract attention and if you go around caning it all the time it's just a matter of time before the points build up.

Don't worry... They can't use em head-on.

I have 3 points for 90 in a 60 The nice copper bumped the speed down a bit on the ticket so it was a FPN. Lucky we'd just rounded a bend before i got to him really, was doing 100+ before!

Yes the Gatso has to get you from behind, but don't confused them with the Truvello cameras that do get you from the front (I don't think they flash though).

When I had a radar detector I soon realised it was a complete waste of time for the Gatsos as you have pretty much no warning as they're facing away from you. Got a GPS only Snooper S6 which does a good job on the fixed cameras and risk zones, but no protection against the mobile cameras.

I have zero points. However I can't take the moral high ground as 8 years ago I got up to 9.
