Sorry AE, I can't help (it's a bit of a trek anyhow)

But good luck, at least it's not raining.

Ian

It may not be the keyfob battery.

The exact thing happened to me the other day, even after I replaced the battery in the fob.

I think it derives from an alarm fault. I would just unlock the car with the key and see if you can start the car. My alarm went off as soon as I turned the key in the ignition, and continued for about 2-3 minutes on and off.

IIRC I then disconnected the battery, reconnected, and the car started.

Hopefully that might get you moving, then you may have to get the alarm looked at by the dealer.

My alarm went off when i went in the car to look for the spare battery, so I'm confident the alarm is ok. the red light isnt lighting up on the keyfob either

My keyfob doesn't have an LED so it must be a different version of the HUK alarm.

Surely both fob batteries can't go dead at once?

That alarm really is a POS.

I always carry a spare battery in the cup holder. I keep another at home just in case.

But .... as I don't have alarm it is no big deal if I have to use the key to open the door.

So i'm getting a taxi to work, luckily my sisters car is parked at my work so i can use that to go get a spare battery if the stealer has one, and get home tonight.
