Default I'm going to see this tomorrow

I'm going to see this S tomorrow http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW...eId=1962022402

The previous owner has unfortunately died and the dealer acquired it through probate. It was sold last summer by Two mills Honda which is my local dealer and I almost went to see it then.

It has skunk2 gear knob on it, can anyone have a look and see if anything else looks non OEM? Not that a modified car would put me off as my VX220 is modified but I would like to know beforehand.

This price seems a little high but I will talk to them about that.

Any comments very much welcome!

I'm not an expert (and my car is an 03) but the blue colour of the speaker cone in the door suggests to me the speakers have been changed for something more interesting.

As with most things like this, gut feeling plays an important part. However is you DO go for it, make sure that you make greasing of the suspension bushes a Condition Of Sale. I am sure that you likely know about the seized suspension bushes problem on the s2's so getting the dealer sort this out for you will save many $$$ when you come to doing your Geo.

Other than that, looks good

Stock speakers are blue in the later models - that just looks a very clean standard car and yes, the price is too high.

There is no 'right' price - also cant see the rest of the info such as mileage etc or service history. Seats are usually good indicator of condition and those look like they've hardly been sat on.

Just looked it up, 31000 miles so pretty low, 6 months tax left, make sure its included but dont ask till you've fixed a price as its worth £250 as it's a 56 plate, for info it has VSA if you were looking for that. A bit pricey but it looks very clean and has 4 main dealer stamps.

Looks a very nice clean car to me, and in the best colour too, price sounds about right to me as well, if that was on our forcourt we could sell it all day long for that, may be even £10999 with a Honda warranty.

Cheers.....Tony..

All looks good, check the history with a dealer, see if it ever had a VSA module replaced. That's about the only thing that was ever dodgy on a very few MY06 and MY07 cars.
I assume the car dealer puts their own warranty on it but it might be worth getting yourself covered with Honda extended warranty for extra piece of mind if that's important for you.

All I can say is go for it and it seems a fair price for the car.
