Default Immobiliser playing up

Help Needed please!

1.Installing new speakers so removed trim and think must have knocked some electrical gubbins under the drivers footwell.

2. key fob locks/unlocks as usual + all other systems work apart from the green key on the dash when push the fob, hence wont start.

3.After panicking somewhat i resorted to removing plastic trim around key barrel, then hopelessly push, pull and move cables in the vein hope of somehow rectifying the problem-after about 20 mins i heard a click when pushing a block connector into a relay, put key in the iginition and it starts!

4.Very overjoyed, but thinking that is the last time i try to do something myself i replace the trim and go to lock the car and discover the key fob wont lock/unlock, but putting the key in the ignition will start the car?? even after 20 mins i can go back to the car, open the door put the key in the barrel and it will start, but still no key fob action + cental LED not working at all.

Kept finger on alarm fob and the panic mode went off, so assume the key fob still tuned + disconnected the batt and waited but still the key fob wont lock/unlock.

Its almost like i have bypassed the immobiliser/disconnected it, the car is a MY00-UK car-

Any suggestions? who to call? what to press? what to pull?

Cheers

Dan

Alternator fuse in the engine compartment fusebox mate.
There's a spare one in there you can use as well.

Just been out and checked, unfortunately they all seem fine, but swapped it just incase-still no joy, is their any other fuses, possibly some for the immobiliser that were added after-could these be the problem?

Cheers for the response,

Dan
