If you're worried about storage there's a company that advertises in Autocar with a storage bag that hangs on the wall. It's

I think now would be a really good time to research hard top supply/fitting prices in Europe - the Euro is very weak against the pound and most Belgian / Dutch dealers seem happy to quote in Euros.

I will be happy to chase this one, but here will be a 10 day delay before I can start because of business commitments.

Any one willing / able to start earlier than this? It would be useful to know how many people are interested - I guess we may be able to get a better deal on 2 or more hard tops.

It also occurs to me that it might be good fun to spend a week-end in Holland or Belgium getting hard-tops fitted, drinking (in the case of Belgium) mind-numbingly strong beer and talking stooks. (beer bit will necessitate an 'overnight', but hey-ho, lifes tough like that!)

Let me know

Ian

Further to the storage bag, a friend just bought one of these for his MR2 and said it's excellent. It's well made, with lots of protection and a simple bracket for hanging on the garage wall.

Hi Ian

I am interested in sourcing a hardtop from abroad. I will start looking into this early next week as to what kind of prices we can get for a group discount buy (if any?)
I have a couple editions of Car Import Guide that list dealers in Europe, any of you guys thinking of importing I would suggest purchasing a copy of this, I found it very useful.
The only thing that concerns me is fitting. I heard that these tops are factory fitted? however I have seen various installation instructions for home fitting, has anyone tried this?
The idea of a visit to Belgium for fitting seems like a very good idea!

Hopefully have some news soon.

Dave
