I called and asked whether it needed to be a thatcham approved, they replied no, just a tracking device will suffice.
After shopping around I found that they all seemed to be

I was reading about some phone software the other day that would enable you to do the same but probably wouldn't make your insurance any cheaper unfortunately.

[QUOTE]I've been having a think about the free VITO FindMe software we covered earlier today. Whilst it works great as a "friend finder" I figured that the software could be applied to different scenarios - car tracking for one.
Let me describe my thinking. A few years ago I bought a new car. It was an expensive beast so I decided to put a Tracker on it. Should the car get stolen I'd instantly be able to call the authorities who would locate my car using the on-board homing device. There's a couple of problems with this system though. I am with Sainburys insurance, no tracker required an works out a cheeper than the S2000
Just dont understand how that works nearly 3 times the value of car (based off my 5 year old S2000) yet cheeper to insure
