Default Injectors, ecu errors code

I have a few misfire codes, which i picked up from my ecu reader.

I have a feeling its clogged/sooted injectors etc, i have just put in some injector cleaner.

What sort of job is it to remove injectors and clean them? Could my local garage do it and how long would it take, how do they actually clean the injectors.

My S has just over 100k now, thing is i dont get these error codes until Summer times, it was exactly the same last year

cheers

Adam

Changing injectors is quite easy. Cleaning and flow testing them involves specialist equipment, so ask if they have it. They check for flowrate and spray pattern etc.

Misfire codes can come from many sources though.

Have you ever had a new MAP out of interest?

Is it all 4 cylinders?

I've got error codes on cylinders 1,2 and 4. I'm going to get the injectors cleaned this week as I'm off. I'm going to send them away to http://www.injectorcleaning.co.uk/ Have a read of their site, very informative. Also, their prices are the cheapest I have found!

Nick.

Edit - My S has had a new MAP sensor. I've also ran injector cleaner, but this can dislodge crud in the system and block the injectors even more.

I have just fitted a new MAF sensor the other day.

So my garage could take out the injectors, and just have a look at the to see if they need cleaned?

nickwrxstiv2, how much does i cost to get them cleaned and sent back, is it a couples or days job return?

thanks again guys.

Just get them taken off at a place which can flow test them. Im not sure its that easy just to see visually if they are blocked.

I've got my car in for the 45k service today, going to get it back at 3 and take out the injectors. I didn't get round to doing it the last time I was off! A company local to me does the cleaning for
