N4S - the air filter sits behind the drivers side fake brake duct - hence the improvement upon opening that up....
Yep, N4S I have tried to take photos, its just impossible to get one with the filter in.

Re the performance, possibly it is something you get used to, but the last thing I want anyone to think is that there are massive BHP increases, as there aren't. To me driving a MY00 the way the power curve feels and the responsiveness has definatley improved, but I have not noticed a top end power increase.

Steven, what years your car?

yep stock exhaust. It makes airbox off noise sound like a field mouse.......well that maybe a slight exageration, it is MUCH louder than airbox off though.

Anyone fancy organising a GB......actually, I want an update from Marc in a couple of weeks, first, but then, a few extra on calls will have to pay for it, I think!!!

How much ?

I've been thinking about a CAI of some description but have absolutely no clue as to what to buy. The expected benefits are what you described so I'm starting to drool !!
I'd be happy to take you for a spin to sample the aural delights of the PRM on Thursday evening Shipley

I'm prepared to be shot down here, but I've read quite a few posts on the concerns of hydrolock with a low mounted CAI - have you considered this, or is it really not worth the worry as some seem to think?

I had some concerns regarding this but following advice from others who say its just not going to happen unless you drive through a flood, and the fact that I have a 2nd car which gets used during bad weather anyway I decided its not an issue.
