Hi

looks good however you may want to insulate it as it gets quite hot

I had a Injen on for about 6 months then sold it to Steve, the sound is great

Hi

No the insulating is of the tube, demon tweeks do the insulation.

I changed to HKS to have a single manufacturer all the way through but the Injen sounds better

BW, i have a 99 so have that raw vtec changeover as well....

I insulated mine from the alloy cover downwards towards the filter - i didn't have time to look for more insulator prior to fitting and haven't bothered since.

It would definitely benefit from insulation around the engine bay - the intake pipe does get hot after a big run.

I've got HKS, sounds even more hooligan!!

Stay with us to find out.....right after the break....(cue music)

Seriously, I'm so confused over all the different intakes, I think I just need somebody telling me which one to get!!

Dave
You need to alter your signiture mate, you have both a PRM and a modified airbox

San
I have been in an S with a HKS racing suction kit and exhuast. The HKS system is much more apout power than noise. You make some quite nice BHP (claimed) in the HKS, but if I remember correctly, the noise is a lot quieter. Its hard to explain but you can tell the Injen is about noise and not power, whereas the noise that comes out of the HKS is about power, rather than noise.........If that makes any sense at all.
