I didn't think the spoon duct would make any difference to the sound as you retain the standard airbox??

Suprsingly enough it does. I know MT had the Aus duct which I think is plastic and he said he didn't notice anything. The spoon duct is carbon. When I first ran the Spoon, this was without the K&N and had the standard filter fitted. I noticed there was a change in both tone and volume. Since fitting the K&N, it has got a lot louder. It does sound awesome. I will flyby you on the Boxhill meet and you will see what I mean. Even in the cabin you can hear a difference over stock.

Could have gone down the CAI route as the Spoon duct was 300 notes + but SC Honda are doing all my warranty stuff so wanted to keep it with a Honda approved tuning company. In hindsight, I have no regrets over getting the spoon.

He's a couple of pics of my install.

This is where the air filter lives on the 4IG (with the undertray removed). I think it

I was very nervous when I drove through a puddle like this, I had to take it VERY VERY slowly.

As I said, I'm not too worried about the depth of the puddle but more of the splash you get when driving through it.

My advice would be to avoid puddles..or drive VERY slowly trying to prevent major splash back.
A puddle is not enough. The whole air filter will pretty much need to be totally submerged for you to get hydrolock. Don't worry so much
My Civic's CAI is in pretty much the same place, and I've had no problems with the recent torrential stuff (S2K is tucked up in the garage).

The 4IG is identical to the Injen is it not? Is the 4IG a two pipe or one pipe kit? I believe the second generation Injen is a two pipe affair - much easier to fit. I have the original one pipe kit and it was a bitch to get in! Only took a few hours though....
