Has anyone managed to get their S on an agreed value policy, which usually means that the S cannot be a daily driver, needs to be garaged and usually has an annual mileage limit applied? The policy also stipulates that one needs to have access to another car to use on a daily basis.

Bought my s in the summer, first car ive owned in over 20 years having always had company cars. Stupidly i thought been 44 and only using for pleasure the cost of insurance wouldnt really be an issue...
My backside fell out when the cheapest quote i could get was over £800 with adrian flux, and that was the only one i got less than £1200.
The car is garaged, i use my company car for work, limited to 5k miles a year and having to provide proof of 5 yrs no claims with my company vehicles...

Blimey, S2000s used to be really expensive to insure, and that was just my standard ones - can't really complain about the 400bhp supercharged one being £500 hehe

£135 for me at 44 years old (2002 S2000).
Car is stated as garaged every night and limited to 7,000 miles a year (rolling average agreed).
It's on a multi car policy with the 2012 CRV costing £175 more.

Also have a couple of extra driving qualifications (below) which make a difference.

A few pence under £300 at 30 years old, with protected NCB and £300 excess. With Adrian Flux. Policy limited to 5,000 miles.

I took a gamble and bought my 2004 model a few days before I turned 21. Best comparison site offer I got when I was 20 was £4200 (with a black box aswell!), then the exact day I turned 21 the same site offered me £1200 with Admiral. Because as soon as you turn 21 you instantly become sensible...
