I mentioned FA over a month ago. They are Halifax in disguise. Sainsburys is also underwritten by FA.

First alternative are also cheapest for us for when our car arrives (within 2 weeks!) - although i'll ask Admiral to beat them as I've been with Admiral for 10 years and they are 2nd cheapest

Always check for hidden costs the lowest quote initially not always the best

I took out a policy with First Alternative last year as they were the cheapest by some way. I also had to make a claim as well and can say that they were very good and quick at sorting things out. The only downside to their cover is they only provide pretty basic courtesy cars so had to slum it in a Fiesta for a couple of weeks.

I've just had my renewal quote through and was expecting to get my pants pulled down as having PNCB usually means that after a claim they calculate a much higher premium before applying the 70% discount. Much to my relief though, it's only
