Hmmmm I've just got a quote from elephant.com. 29 5 yrs NCB and got a quote of 797... which is 400 notes cheaper then direct line (who i was with last year)

they are worth a look I would think.

Has anyone tried Egg insurance.

I got sent some blurb this morning that they will beat any quote and if they can't will give you the difference plus a pound.

They will then match the insurance next year as well.

I read the leaflet in the traffic this morning coming to work so I might of missed something. Sounds like a good deal to me though.

Just been on Egg - 32 yrs, 4 yrs NCD, 1 SP50
with protected NCD - 1231.65 without protected NCD 1051.05

That's right, NCD protection is 180 extra ! The web site help says "Once you have four years no claims discount, you can protect it for a small extra premium." WTF constitutes small ?

The web front-end looks remarkably like Direct Line's.

Chris

PS Directline
with protected NCD, 1030.05
without 878.85
