Default Integra Type-R, Comments please.....

A friend at work currently owns a CRX Del Sol, He's now looking at getting an Integra Type-R. He'd like to know if any of you guys have any experiences of the integra and any general comments you'd care to make about them.

Cheers guys........

I love em. Never had one, but driven `em.

If I could justify the outlay (and was a rich type with garage space to house many cars) I would get one. Really, really think they are good/nice.

I know that isn`t a technical appraisal but and emotional one.

If you read the S2000 history book, they detail the similarities in that.

I came very close to buying one just before I got ill two years ago. The salesman brought it up to my house and we had a good thrash round some country roads, he was almost ill by the end of the test drive though!!!!

My girlfriend was seriously unimpressed by the harshness of the ride and the noise, but I loved it. I don't know if it was an everyday car though, I could imagine that you would hate it if you weren't in the mood.

The interior made my Subaru feel upmarket!!

They are getting quite cheap now, but it would be difficult to find one that hadn't been thrashed.

Best fwd I've ever driven.

Try a search on this site as I have talked about it before.

It's a fantastic car.

I'm an ex-ITR driver - loved the car. You'll find some of my comments with a search. Also worth popping along to Honda Revolutions - search, and ask in their forum.

ITR prices are low right now - so the right car is an absolute bargain. A great car, and future classic IMHO.

I have an Integra R for a few days while my CRX (del Sol) wa in the garage !!
Compared to the Sol it appears pretty stripped out (you can hear stones pinging against the floor pan as there's less sound deadening).
Was tempted to buy but at the time had my heart set on a new Prelude 2.2 VTEC, which I also didn't but but put my name down for one of the first S2000s instead.

Your mate might miss the ability to go topless (my main reason for choosing another convertible over the Teg or Lude).
