I think I'd go on there and tell them all to buy Boxsters. Don't want the S2000 becoming a common sight on the roads! I like it just the way it is - let the masses go for the Boxsters, SLKs and TTs of this world, while we pick the true driving car (yes yes, Boxster fans, I know it is a superb handler... )...

They appear to be talking about second hand cars - I guess they're already on the roads as no-one appears to have mentioned importing.

I agree with sentiment though

I say let the numpty by a old minimum spec LHD 2.5 boxster. We can all wave at him as we drive past and/or he's trying to get out of a T junction.

I can't for love nor money figure out why anyone would chose a 2.5l boxter over an S2000. Its the cheapest, most entry-level porka you can buy and you are buying only a badge IMHO. The S2000 is a better, rarer and more special car in nearly every way. I say let him buy it though - I like the fact that generally when I see an S2000 its not a total knob behind the wheel!

The point about 986s falling out of bed is a good one.

It is possibly a good time for all those who run an S2K because they are too damn poor to get a 986 to upgrade, what with winter an' all that.

You have to love the Boxster wannabes

I'm still working on a Boxster test drive I got refused at a specialist the other day - despite being well spoken and mild mannered and turning up in a BMW 330 coupe
"Pleeease sir, let me drive one of yer cars "
