Interior mirror
Unscrewed it to fix a wide angle attachement and blessed if I can re-screw it to the windscreen mounted metal plate.
I can see where the sprung washer engages & is screwed up against the indent, and the nibs that engage in the metal plate, but there is a tiny clip that is somehow restricting final fixing.
Probably a technique and with a Honda dealer is only a miles or so away come Monday...... but feel a prat not beng able to solve something so seemingly simple.
Off topic but what has overcome my irritation re. the above is that I'm convinced car goes better and certainly sounds better now cat. biined ( untl MOT time of course).

Loosen the screw - slide the mirror in whilst making sure the metal clip is flat and secured between the base an the mirror. Then Slowly tighten the screw - this will tighten the metal clip pulling the mirror flush with the base. HTH
