Default Interior Rattle

Hi peeps.

Got a rattle in the interior (i think) but can't source it. nothing in the gloveboxes/cupholder etc. seems to sound like a plastic pen rattling around in a plastic container, not a mechanical rattle.

Rattle seems to sound like it's coming from the centre or left of the cockpit.

any ideas/thoughts?

Usual culprits to eliminate first are the passenger seat belt buckle or the seat touching the bulkhead behind

Passenger seat belt? I often find that this rattles and sticking it behind the seat usually cures it.

Dracoro

I've got a similar problem at the moment only mine sounds more like two bits of plastic gently rubbing together rather than a rattle.

Seat belts and backs have been checked to no avail.

I've just resorted to turning the stereo up loader! Failing that I drive everywhere in VTEC with the airbox off!

Ian, have you made sure that when you're sat in the seat, the back doesn't touch? I thought I'd moved mine back far enough, only to find that when I was sat in it driving, it still touched.

Pete!

Mark, I've checked that out and the seat isn't touching. The noise is coming more from under the steering wheel and surrounding area.
