Default Invidia Baffles...

Well, since i got back from the drift day, it woudl seems i have loose baffles in both exits already...

rattling through most of the rev range.. checked all the fixings, and there all tight. Noise is definatly in the cans...

Its not even been on a month.. surly they can not be gone already ?

Check the tips. If they're still made the same way, the weight of the baffles is too much for the rivets and they come loose.
Bit of a bastard to fix as you'll need to drill out the old rivets and either replace them or use mini-bolts.

You sure this is not an elaborate way of putting it back to stock?

If bits are starting to fail then that's a really shoddy bit of manufacturing. Hope you get it sorted, as you bought it new have you got any recourse to invidia.

How many miles since you put it on and has it only started since you swapped to a decat.

Yeah started since i swapped the decat, but also drift day.

I will keep it on until the tunnel run so you can hear what i mean.

But its a simple fact, its not been fitted a month, and im sure the baffles have either come loose, or there is something got under them, thich should not be able to happen ...

supplier 1st, invidia 2nd trading standards 3rd ...

There is no way i want it back to standard, i love the sound now its decat, makes my d$%k twinge

Nope, original rivets on mine, thay look Ti coloured and are not pop rivets.

I dont think they can be dis-assembled - the perforated tubes appear to be welded into the construction like almost all exhausts.

Puppy - its simply a big stainless canister packed full of glassfibe wadding (or similar) and a perforated pipe through the middle for the gas to travel down, very simple design.
