Default invidia test pipe

Hi

Looking at getting a test pipe wondered if you guys had any advice on various things like size 60 or 70mm,brands ones that don't come with the CEL fix like the invidia pipe and the Berk ones that do etc?

Any advice very much appreciated.

Cheers

Ricky.

Depends on your future plans as the standard exhaust is 60mm and an upgrade would potentially be 70mm. There are arguments for the effectiveness of a 70mm mated to the standard system.

Personally I have an Invidia 70mm unsilenced test pipe mated to a standard system and I love it! I have also had a Berk silenced Decat which I did not like. The noise change from the Invidia is fantastic and the car felt easier to rev and pull felt better mid range. All on the arse dyno though.

Hey thanks for the reply, did you have to do anything with CEL sensors with the invidia pipe (spacer, bung etc) I thought you could bolt the sensor straight into the pipe as it already incorporated into the pipe, but i've seen people selling the pipe with the CEL fix.

Get the size closest to your exhaust system diameter.
Don't bother with the CEL fix version that Invidia got, it doesn't work and just ads a restriction (tiny but nonetheless).

Thanks....Ideally though I don't want the CEL light coming on :/ silly as it sounds baring in mind knowing exactly why it's on.

I´ve got a standard (I believe 60mm) test pipe on my car which will be for sale in January as I tend to upgrade for a 75mm one.

I might be interested in part exchange for a stock cat pipe.

Sorry what I meant is get one of those o2 sensor spacers instead, you can find them cheap on ebay or from some of the vendors here.

I have an invidia 70mm with the cel fix, it works perfectly... No light at all... I also have HKS manifold and Miltek exhaust.

Buy the 70mm the s2000 wants to breath better... The 70mm won't hurt it at all and if you decide to pop on a new exhaust or manifold in future you won't need to buy another decat pipe... The 60mm could be a restriction if you improve the exhaust in future...
