Default Iphone and ICE

Does anyone have any information on what replacement unit I can install that will allow an Iphone to be linked in, and continue with the standard driver controls? Details on costs, manufacturers and also best place to mount the Iphone appreciated.

You could keep the existing stereo and get yourself one of these:

You simply tune your Radio into the frequency and you can then play your iPod/iPhone through the radio. Would enable you to keep the controls etc and it is a cheaper option.

I've seen one of these in action and they're pretty good, you can then locate your iPhone anywhere in the car you like as there are no wires.

Alpine HUs can control and iPhone, meaning you can either put the phone in the passenger net, or the glovebox.

I fitted an ida x100 at the weekend and it's brilliant for iPhone control. So easy to select tracks/playlists etc.

Really long lead with it but I just leave iPhone on passenger seat as once it's connected you don't need to get to it and tom tom for hands free phone.
