Default Ipod Ice>link problem

My ice>Link plus arrived today and I have been out this afternoon trying to get the thing to work. I am not the most technically minded person so hopefully someone can offer some advice...

This is one of the new Ice link plus units which plug straight into the back of the OEM HU and so should be really easy to get working. Bigfecker's guide really helped out and I had the HU out in no time.

The problem is that although the Ipod charges and seems to realise it is connected to a Honda, the Ipod itself and the HU refuse to accept any input and freeze up.

I have tried disconnecting/resetting just about everything but no joy apart from on occasion a second of music before it freezes up again.

Does anyone have one of these new connectors working? If so I guess I will try to get the unit replaced.

Thanks for reading

Simon

This is the unit I ordered:

ice>link plus

It is supposed to work with all OEM HUs from the last two years and costs a fair bit less than the original ice link which needed an adapter box to work.

Blaupunkt Woodstock, with DAB and SD card playback, is the way forward ...

I've got the new style unit and it works a treat with my 3G ipod.

I'm busy tonight - but if you want to PM your mobile I can give you a ring tomorrow for a chat?
