Default ipod install

I have seen a number of installations where the ipod is very neatly located in the glove box between the seats. I have located my alpine inerface box under the passenger seat and wanted to know the best route from there for the cable (ie what panels have to be removed and how).
Any help advice gratefully received.

move seat forward and remove plastic trim from behiind, has two hooks on it little plastic clip hides screws behind, remove side plastic trim on sill and run cables into the rear of the glove box, you will need to drill a little hole for the cable to go through into box.

wil try and find a diagram as i am crap at explaining it.

cannot find the web site i wanted to link for you. somebody will come and give more help soon i would hope.

I have installed the Apline 9850, but didn't want to be drilling holes etc, so ran the cable from the stereo under the steering column up the drivers door and bought one of those sticky pad things and have it just above the stereo control panel thingy. I'll get a pic later.

There is no need to drill a hole in the glove box.

When fitting mine i took the whole glove box out and you can fit the wire through where the hinge is for the door. Is tricky and takes some fiddling about but was worth the effort as i didnt have to drill the plastic.

I conteplated various solutions and plugged for the route under the console and through the back of the glove box.

Is that unit an Ai Net one? If so you need an Alpine 420 interface box!
