I'm looking at the P&O overnight ferry Dublin-Liverpool - Departs 9:30, docks ~5am. This allows making a weekend of it - gets in early, much less distance to travel to the venue etc.
It is bit more expensive though - currently €320 with one passenger, €458 - but then it is covering a night's accomodation and dinner/breakfast.

Anyone else in?
