Cant say what caused it perhaps something loose, but the price is a joke the sensor will be expensive for the air bypass box.

Invest in a code reader you could save a small fortune, but in the predictament/situation you were in I can understand TBH.

I guess the IAT sensor has come lose, got wedged between the serpentine belt and a pulley causing it to jump off.

Which would have been down to who fitted the K&N

 

Unreal that then the dealers wonder why people go elsewere. They are supposed to know the car inside out normaly the fuse would be the first thing to check when fault finding. At least you sorted
