Oh my God!

After waiting nearly six months, I'm picking my silver/red (S200O UP) tomorrow! I then have a nice two hour journey home to experience the thrills that you guys know all about!

Anything I should look out for in terms of delivery inspection?

Johnny

Congratulations!

(1) Check oil level.
(2) Check the two rubber flaps are installed just in front of the front wheels.
(3) Check plastic transport spacers have been reoved from suspension.
(4) Check that steering/tracking alignment has been checked.
(5) Make sure you know where the release is for the fuel filler cap. You'll never find it!
(6) Make sure you have the tonneau cover.

Have a great drive home and don't VTEc till 600 miles!

nice plate

Are you getting an 01 or an 02 model?

PDI FAQ is here

Some of the stuff is US specific (don't imitate me and play merry hell that the car doesn't have its red mats fitted ) but broadly all is well!

I took my Muz mat with me to the dealer but I'm not sure you'll be running top down anyway.

If you are getting an 01 really pay attention to the rear screen's condition.

Run it in with some nice varied driving!

Enjoy your day!!

I'm presuming that because I ordered it six months ago, it will be an '01 model.

The plate cost

Congrats, take it easy on the throttle until you get used to it.

Hi JohnnyUK!

Great to see you're getting your car tomorrow. The memory of buying mine in July is still strong so I know how you feel .

Take care on cold slippy roads (just be sensible with the throttle pedal - there's a hell of a lot of power going to those rear wheels and not much weight!)

How about joining us for a great weekend away in Wales (21 cars so far)

Pete

Go on, Mike; you know you want to!

A load of great guys and gals, S2k enthusiasts just like yourself there? Chewing the fat, looking over the mods, swapping stories over good food and drink?.... And a convoy of twenty odd gleaming S2000s, top down, twisting gracefully over the majestic Welsh landscape? How could you not want to be part of that??!!

Driving skills don't come into it. If you can keep it on the road at 70 mph and steer it in and out of pub car parks, you have all the skill you need for what we're planning!

I'll put you down as a possible

Pete
