Default J's ECU HELP Please

Hi....some help please. I have removed and sold my J's ECU but we cannot get it to start the car in its new home!
Engine turns but will not fire.
I seem to remember that it needs to be grounded but cannot remember from what to where!

Have done a search but can only find reference to petrol pump and immobiliser..........is this the problem and how do I solve it.

Sorry to be an old fart!

Your post is very sketchy and hard to make sense.

Did you remove the J's ECU or did you install one. If you removed it, what did you replace it with, if you are installing it what year is your car.

If you're installing it you might have to ground the petrol pump.

It makes perfect sense.

ISTR that it's the immobiliser pin that needs connecting to earth on the J's...hopefully someone like MB will be along shortly

I don't have an ECU diagram to hand, but it's pin 15 for the fuel pump which needs grounding. Just have to check which connector plug...
