oh, Variable Gear Steering. no i dont think it is. it a 2001 jdm car if that helps.

VGS makes the steering shorter dependent of your speed. Very rare to find an S with it in the UK.

The faster you go, the shorter your steering lock becomes. Makes the turn-in quicker, once you've gotten used to it, I suppose.

Can't honestly imagine ever getting used to it, personally.

EDIT: This is how I understand it, at least.
