Interesting , the stock figure they quote is quite accurate. Nice to see some folk doing work with the f20c.

I shouldnt compare figures (dyno to dyno ) but i have similar results ( less but not massively with bolt on's 5-6k is double what i got) but i bet overall i paid alot less.

The escort rally cars with F20's are very impressive.

If mapped correctly, doable id say for 2k without engine management (which you'll need).

The midrange will be greatly improved and on/of throttle response also a little added ontop but not a great deal.

I've been looking at this to do later this season so I'll guess I'll find out how well they go and what they're like to live with.

My options are Jenvey or AT (http://atpowershop.co.uk/catalog/hon...head-p-88.html). AT look interesting but they've not built an F20 kit yet so it would be a gamble.

I'd be looking at running a big airbox, ideally using the same cold air feed I have now but using up all the space I can next the engine and battery. I may take it off for events if that improves power.

For me I'm prepared for not much on top but more midrange (6k+) as that will help when I'm searching for a gear on some of the courses.

I need to win the lottery.

ITB's, D Sport iVTEC Solution, Spoon 2.2 kit, Hytech Manifold and Exhaust, AEM EMS engine management and a decent tune. Pure filth NA power.... yum yum.

This is something in my longer term plans (ITB) but there's still a lot of thinking to be done.

Noise is one concern.

Filtration is another.

I'm also not sure about Jenvey.

I know its not an F20C but I don't see why it would be any different in the end as they're both engines...

My mate has built an engine for his rally car (Skoda Felicia) based on the 8v 1.4 from the Fabia. It has a set of ITB's from, I think, a ZX6R. He built the manifold etc, runs an Emerald ECU...

With a camshaft change, some head work etc. it now, reliably (including cold starts) runs 120bhp (versus 67 as standard)...

ITBs are not the trouble they used to be.

I've seen Yuk Hodgson's Mk1 Escort running F20C/ITBs and he's very pleased with it... develops plenty of power and is reliable.

Yup but the key thing is that any S2000 (or most cars) which i've seen have ITB's retorfitted, are race or rally cars, not road cars.

A road car needs to start and run nicely in all sorts of different ambient conditions, and that seems to be where things get tricky.
