I used 'Son of a Gun' for cleaning my roof and it seemed to work well.....but may still pop into my local Saab dealer to see if I can get some Renovo

As for the back window I used the BMW plastic window cleaner as recommended in FAQ

303 works for me and doesn't run off the roof. Used a sponge to apply it, worked a treat.
I also use a microfibre towel to buff it - brings the roof up black and I never get any run off - tebs, maybe you're using too much? I hardly use any at all and it's pretty effective
