I'd spend the money addressing the sprung weight rather than the unsprung personally.

ya that’s my thinking on the front brakes .... the Audi S3 set up that’s on it at the moment are mega heavy .... think the disc alone are around 11kg each !!

Nah, that sort of extreme action ends up ruining the car.

But going cheap on suspension and costly on brakes seems a bit unbalanced, like the car will be.

ya ... wanted to get the ohlins really for the golf as well but at £2200 couldn’t really justify it . Happy with the suspension for a fun hatchback ..... but ya not a lot of point getting amazing brakes for it ... other than the looks .

Not done a lot to the S2k recently..... had it serviced inc plugs /coolant/valve check ect ....

i ordered a back yard special lower seat rail from sumo power for the sum of £300 ( ouch !) I was informed it would take aprox 3 months to get here ... but it arrived in about 4 weeks . In those 4 weeks one came up for sale on gumtree and thought I’d get it anyway due to the delivery time on the other . So now I have 2 !!

Then I went crazy on the golf and bought another set of ohlins r&t for it , along with new bbs Wheels in graphite. Also test fitted the wheels over my AP Racing S2k brakes . Which they fit , so once the new suspensions on and Wheels I’ll order the brake kit up from reyland . .. a few pics to follow
